Our mission is to create a safe, supportive space where children can learn, grow and thrive through nature-based education. We encourage curiosity, confidence, independence and practical life skills, helping every child discover their strengths and achieve their potential.
Hands-on learning
Learning by doing, exploring and creating is at the heart of Wild Oaks Academy. Children are encouraged to get involved in practical projects, experiment, problem-solve and learn through real experiences rather than simply sitting and listening. From woodwork and outdoor activities to cooking, planning events, raising money and camp outs children develop valuable life skills while naturally building confidence, independence, communication and teamwork.
Core skills development
We develop confidence, communication, teamwork, problem-solving and independence through practical, real-life experiences. Along the way, children naturally build their maths, English and science skills through exciting projects, challenges and activities — often without even realising they’re learning!
Building confidence
Through supportive guidance, encouragement and exciting challenges, children are given opportunities to step outside their comfort zones, try new things and discover what they are capable of. As they overcome challenges, work with others and celebrate their achievements, they develop confidence, resilience and self-esteem, building the skills and belief they need to thrive both now and in the future.
Empowering home-educated children
We are dedicated to helping home-educated children acquire vital life skills through engaging, hands-on projects and experiences. Our approach ensures they enjoy learning without knowing it.
Accredited achievements
Children will develop confidence, self-esteem and the ability to think, plan and make decisions independently. Through real-world experiences, they will gain valuable life skills, develop an understanding of money and responsibility and work towards recognised AQA Unit Awards. These achievements provide valuable evidence of their skills and experiences, helping them build a strong foundation for further education, employment and their future.
Where and When?
Wild Oaks Academy runs every Monday in Beverley, with drop-off available from 10am and collection at 3pm. Children enjoy a full day of hands-on, nature-based learning, practical projects and real-world experiences in a supportive and inspiring environment.
